Don't the gassers still come with the AAM10.5" while the D-max's have the AAM11.5?i personally would say the 2500 GMC. The motors get a decent amount of gas milage. My dads averages about 14 and his is stick. the 9.5 semi floater is a good rear end. you can still find the GM 14 bolt under the 2500HD (2002 and up) with the 6.0 and 4L80. all HDs with the Allison trans had the AAM 11.5
How many miles does the GMC have? sorry if its been repeated but the chevys are my specialty lol

the 2000 gmc has the same hp, not sure on torque buts i think its real close.
