It's not, as long as you never want to run tires larger than 33s, and you don't run a moter more powerful than a stock 4.0L.

good, cause i just ordered a set of yukon 4.56s with a master install kit for my 7.5. im running 30" tires and wont do any offroading at all. i got a little scared for a second.

Id keep the 2.9L.

A 2.9 with 31's isnt bad at all. My buddy had a 87 Ranger Ext Cab 4x4 with a 2.9L and a 5sp, and it would squeel them at will on dry pavement.

its between the 2.9 and 4.0 right now but im thinkin a 4.0 it seems like a easy swap
