Which set of manual hubs to run, for now.

I have an 88 Ranger, 2.9, FM-146, manual 1350 and Dana 28 with 4.10 gears. Tires are Goodyear Wranglers 235/75R15. It has Ford manual hubs on it now and cmae with an extra set fo Mile Marker manual hubs.

Is there any advantage going with either set of hubs? I don't really want to spend any money on hubs for the 28; I have a burnt exploder with the Dana 35 and 8.8 waiting to go in, except it has 3.55 gears right now.

Both sets of hubs work, I checked them while changing front shocks today.

The most wheeling this truck should see is muddy or snowy roads.

Thanks for the advice,

Robert

Thanks, that is what I plan to do; while having the extra MM's as spares.

I'm not sure when the D35/8.8 will go in; probably when I do a 4 liter conversion when this 2.9 wears out. Hopefully that is a few years away.
