Which of these 2 trucks should i get ??

Not sure why Ford had to have so many varieties of V8s and V6s in the 90s and when GM and Dodge were able to keep it simple and use one platform.

Fords always been that way. It seems stupid they do it to. The average consumer doesnt care if their new 351 shared a bolt pattern with a 460. Seems it would of been cheaper and eaiser for them to just streamline shit across the board.

Its also why performance guys gravitate toward GM

We has head gasket oil leaks with 5.4's in 1999 because Jack Nasser squeezed the vendor for cheaper head gaskets. Other than that the worst problem we had with them was exhaust manifold bolts breaking off and that was fixed with the switch to stainless steel bolts. I've seen tons of high mileage 5.4's, our biggest customer would order F150's five at a time and every vehicle they bought ran 250,000 miles before they replaced it- whether it was the newest salesman's truck or driven by one of the owners. If your state uses road salt a Dakota will dissolve quickly.

If GM was honest enough to admit GMC and Chevy trucks are the same, combined they outsell F series. But they'd rather advertise that GMC's are "premium" so they can continue to over charge for them. That's why GM will not allow a combined GMC/Chevy dealer where customers could see them side by side. I'd love to see the GMC "premium" commercial immediately preceded by the Consumer Cellular premium commercial.
I do like GMC's grill better, Chevy's heavy duty trucks are homelier than a bag of toe nails.

They only good looking thing GM makes is the ZR2/trailboss whatever they call it suburban/tahoes. They remind me of a polaris side by side.

My first truck was a Dakota so that's my vote.
