I'd rather not do the body lift if it's not absolutely necessary. What will have to be modified for clearance? I have an excellent sheet metal guy that can replace whatever I have to cut out. I really like the stock height and look.

Was just a suggestion
it depend's alittle on your tran's crossmember and the model of trans you use , but generally the main point of clearance issue's is getting the bellhousing to clear the weld flange on the firewall , you can bend the flange over to give some extra clearance and if needed reshape the firewall flange area to workI'd rather not do the body lift if it's not absolutely necessary. Ill be putting in a M5OD-R2 from an 02 v6 f150 in the next week or so, ill let you know it goes if you want to use the same transmission.
I'm looking forward to hearing how it goes. If you have time to take pics of any modifications to the fire wall, crossmember, etc. that would be great. What transfer case are you using?
Better late than never! I've been checking back every few days. So obviously you will have to open up the floor for the shifter. Where would the clearance issue be without the body lift? I have my motor already so I just have to decide which trans and weather or not to stay fuel injected and then i'll get started. What motor and mounts did you use?
