Which is a better option

I have an 88 ford ranger with a 5.5 inch James duff lift. I have a James duff drop link on now which I think is out 2 inches longer than stock. I notice that I have a lot of bump steer on uneven or off camber roads. I installed a steering stabilizer and that helped a lot but still not to the point that I would drive this truck every day. So I was looking into the skyjacker fa600 extreme lift drop pitman arm and the super-lift superunner system. Any pros and cons either way price wise they are about the same. Also will the super-lift system work on a James Duff lift kit and drop bracket.

The Superlift steering kit I believe works no problem with any suspension kit on a RBV (IIRC, the fullsize trucks were what required it also have a Superlift suspension kit).

As for which is better... The FA600 drop arm is the easiest option available to give you 4" of drop on your steering. A downside is added leverage it puts on the steering box sector shaft (shouldn't be an issue though unless you're crawling rocks a lot). There's also a small chance you may need to bend back the driverside tie rod in a press very slightly for clearance behind where the pitman arm is.

The Superlift kit requires some modification (welding) to be at 4" (or more) drop, as it too only puts the centerlink down 2" from where it would otherwise best line up with a stock suspension (don't ask me why this is when they advertise it to work with 3" - 6" lifts  Seems engineering was not their strong suit back in the '80s when the kit was designed originally). Once modified however it should give you superior handling and better durability than with running the FA600 arm (less leverage on the steering box). And you can lower the centerlink down for more than 4" of drop as well, though I would strongly recommend you beef up it's idler arm if you do (such as widen the bushing width at the upper end of the arm to better disperse the leverage put on it).

The steering on mine is essentially a modded Superlift kit which I've beefed up some parts on it.
