I don’t know where to post this, so here goes. My driveshaft has play in the slip yoke and slightly around a couple of the u-joint caps in the rear knuckle and it’s rusted to shit.

The truck - 07 Ranger, regular cab/long bed, 4x4, manual transmission, XLT and BFT package. I also plow snow with this truck. 80,000 miles and 12 years old, but it looks and runs like it’s 4 years old.

I want a new driveshaft. If it’s stronger and more precisely manufactured than the original, I’d prefer it.

I’m in west-central, Connecticut, but I guess I can order one from online. Any suggestions on where to get it, things to ask for when it’s built and how much I should expect to pay?

Thanks

Give them a call and see what they can do. You’ll need to have your measurements. And what size yikes you’ll need front and rear

Otherwise find a local driveshaft shop. Bring them your old shaft. And have them build you a new one.
