Where to get a V8 installed?

Does anybody know where I can get a V8 swap done in a Ranger? Preferably somewhere close to N.C. I don't have the tools, time, accommodations, and knowledge to do something like this. I was hoping to find a shop that has experience in this and not just a place that thinks they can do it. I have worked on vehicles in the past but I'm not comfortable w/ something this extensive. TIA.

Do to the average labor cost and parts involved. Your best bet would be to buy one already converted. You will be money ahead.

That's what I'm finding out. I'm keeping an eye out for one already converted but I think I will end up w/ an F-150/250/350. In the end it will probably be easier that way and if I end up w/ the boat I want I will need the extra towing capacity of the F series.

I'm a bit far from you, but I specialize in the ranger V8 efi swap, I've done several this year alone with another scheduled in January. It doesn't take special tools that you can't get from your local parts store, and if you can change an alternator, you can perform this swap. Or, like your thinking, just go with an F series...

Interesting. How much does the swap cost? I'm assuming I would have to provide the engine. Do you do anything w/ the old engine or does the owner take it?
