I'm looking for a good shop in the Washington D.C. area to get duals.

I'm moving from Maryland to South Dakota at the end of March towing a trailer, my warranty is over, so I figured it's about time.

I have an '08 Ranger, 4L ohv, 4x4, auto, towing package.

I would like to find someone in Allegany or Garrett county MD. because they still don't have to go to emissions, but I will go anywhere up to about 100 miles away from Our Nations Capital in any direction to get quality work. I will probably need a few other small things.

Please PM me,

Thanks for your consideration,

Gary

I submit to you that you have no such thing. I do believe that the error is caused by the V and C keys being right next to each other on the board.

What motor do you have? Any muffler shop can put on exhaust. If it is from the cat back no worries....if you try to modify the cat it will be against the law and no shop will do this for you that I am aware of. Different states have different regulations on exhaust systems...dual exhaust and noise regulations for example. You need to check the laws in the state you are moving to.

Exhausts are easy enough to do yourself. you could save a bundle just buy getting ur equipment on line and doin a little work youself. In my experience no one can give you exactly what u want better thatn u =-)

I have a Gibson cat-back on my Sport Trac, it was a slam-dunk to install. They do make a dual-out for Rangers but both pipes come out on the same side. I picked up 3 mpg on the highway, city mpg is no different.

Regardless of state laws on emissions testing, it is illegal under Federal law to remove a catalytic converter. Besides which, on newer vehicles removing the cat may throw a check engine light that you can't get rid of.

Thank s

Thanks All for the info. I guess I will do it myself when I get out there. I don't have a place or the time to do it here plus I was unaware of the Fereral Laws. I thought if you didn't have to go to emissions you could take it off.
