Where can I find code 89 axel.

Grabbing a whole axle assembly is the way to go if going after a factory gear ratio, much easier...

No need to change anything else, the axle isn't going to break anything else and 30" tires aren't too crazy...

7.5" and 8.8" in Rangers use the same axles and drive shaft mount flange, so nothing different in a full swap, even u-bolts and brake lines are the same(up thru 2009, 2010/11 had rear disc brakes)

Explorers use 8.8" with larger diameter axles, but not a direct swap, some cutting and welding required, but they did have disc brakes, so some brake work also required

With only 30" tires and a stock motor either a 7.5 or 8.8 should be plenty strong enough. Like Ron said, they share axles which are generally the weak link offroad. The 8.8 just has bigger stronger gears. There are also alot more aftermarket parts available for the 8.8 though so if your gonna swap, might as well just do an 8.8. And as Ron also pointed out the limited slip is much more street friendly vs a locker. The factory limited slip can also be rebuilt with aftermarket clutches and springs to make them more or less agressive based on your needs. With a locker you are kinda just stuck accepting the noise and tire wear when driving on the street.

Thanks everyone! I'll let you know as to how the build goes then. I'm planning a trip to the junk yard and I'll keep everyone up to date

Okay one more question.. I got my alignment done and learned that they couldn't adjust my camber. I want to make sure I don't chew threw my tires. So what do I need to adjust it.

Camber doesn't chew up tires near as bad as getting toe-in wrong. How much is it out?

Mine is about around a degree or so, rotate the tires every oil change. If they start to cup flip them on the rims halfway through tread life ;)
