I have a 85 Bronco II with the 2.8L. My question is did this truck come with the OBD-I diagnostics plug?

yeah, it's next to the air filter box on the fender, it's red, it also has a tiny grey plug along with it.

there are directions on how to use it in the tech library.

or, you can go to oreillys and get an OBD-I reader for fords. it's about 25 dollars.

I think you have mistook my engine. I have the 85 Bronco II which is the 2.8L carburetted. I dont have fuel injection. I do have the OBD-I plug in it but I dont know if it comes stock. I am trying to figure out the history of this truck. I am thinking that somebody may have had a fuel injection in this truck at some point. Thank you for your time.

Yes it does.. however your best thing you could do is to duraspark it and get rid of the computer. The computer is in the lower passenger kickpanel if you want to make sure its going to something.

I appreciate your help. The reason I thought you mistook my engine was because you said it was next to the airbox on the fender. I dont have a airbox on my truck. You were absolutely right though. It is a red plug located on the fender. Thank you again.

Yea if you dont need to pass emissions ditto on the duraspark the EEC-IV with the feedback carb will eat you up on parts unless your the lucky one that it all works together. For the price of the EGR you can put in a better ignition system that actually works. The tech library has that also
