When Did Driving With Emergency Flashers Become a Thing?

I've become a pretty peaceful person the older I get. I let my strangeness and general unkempt appearance do the work for me now. I dont know how many times some punk kid has started yelling and cursing until I just stand up and smile creepily and they realize they are dealing with a man who hasn't shaved or bathed since the Clinton administration and doesn't care anymore. Then they slink away...

I'm sorry, but I have to add something here. This has nothing to do with snow or emergency flashers but, Last winter we decided to drive to Ft. lauderdale rather than fly. What is is with drivers in Florida? we were in the far right lane, going 80mph(10 over the posted), and ALL the cars passing us were flipping us off for going to slow!!! 'Dem rednecks need to get a clue. I asked my sis who lives there-what's the deal? And she said- the cops won't even glance at you unless you are going 3 digits. WTF has happened to Florida? BTW, I live in Mpls. where ALL the soccer moms drive huge SUVs really slow when it snows.

That part of Florida is largely populated with folks that have relocated from other states or countries. Not nearly as many rednecks as you might think. At least not the stereotypical southern redneck. LOL

My brother had problems in the Atlanta area after he moved down there. If he drove with the flow of traffic, he would get a ticket for speeding. If he drove the speed limit, he got a ticket for posing a hazard. It stopped after a while but it doesn’t negate that much of the South thinks they are all participants in a NASCAR race.

I flew into NE FL to drive to SE Georgia a few months ago and it was an experience but not as bad as Chicago... I was driving my normal 5-10 over posted and had cars and long haulers passing me then there'd be someone going 15-20 under posted randomly... and the "bro trucks" are definitely different over there than they are over here, about as much logic... there was one Silverado that I honestly don't know what breed of engine was in it with the noise it made...

The only difference, here in Phoenix, between NASCAR, and the I10 Freeway, is that it's legal, to hit your buddie, in Nascar!!!

This is why I drive a feista... I wouldn't move at all, hit me all you want I don't friggin care. I sue your balls off and go to Toys-R-Us and get another car. I really want a bumper sticker that says something like " *warning* I really don't care about this car ".(y)

I swerve around idiots with the ranger, but **** the fiesta...

I'd have let him plow right on into me and told the officer that he came into my lane, but my pregnant wife was sitting in the seat that would have taken the worst hit.

It’s not legal?!? We used to play bumper tag all the time back in high school.
