I am thanking about getting new wheels for my 2002 ranger 4x4 with auto. trans. and 4.0 v6. has original 7inch wheels. I am thanking of going to 11 inch. I am running 265x16 tires. If i do this will there be a need for a off set, if so what would you recommend.

I'm sure how much offset you'd need but, you may want to get used to replacing hub bearing units if you use an 11'' wide wheel.

For 265/75R16 tires, the recommended rim size is 16x7. I don't know if a 265 tire would even seat on an 11" rim...

If you have 16x11 rims; you are looking at a much wider tire (Interco is only recommending 10" wide rims on its 14.5" tires...)

Personally, I think backspacing, and you want to keep backspace right around the stock tolerance of 4-4.5"

Those will fit perfect on a 7" wide wheel. At most I'd go to 8" wide. As don said you'll probably want to stick with a near stock backspacing.
