I just had my BFGs mounted on my new Alcoas Friday. I failed to ask them to just put the weights on the inside of the wheel. They are balanced perfectly and ride smooth at all speeds. However i looked at them yesterday and the lead weight was "leaking" gray on to my tire. It could have been the 1 ft of snow and all the salt on the roads causing this, but i dont like it at all. I have never had a tire weight do this, anyone else??
When i had my Chrome soft-8s, they alway balanced pretty good with just the weight on the inside. My question is mainly aimed at thos with Alcoas, do you have the weights mounted on just the inside of the wheel or both? If just the inside, do they ride fine? Should I take it back today and have them re-balance them with the weight just on the inside?
I dont know if the weight will continue to "gray" my tire, but i personally do not like it!
