ok so this truck is a work vehicle that my dad is working on, he is a golf course mechanic but also a licensed vehicle mechanic, we don't normally take on large non-golf course type equipment such as this truck and normally have is taken to a shop for them to deal with it.

there is a squeak in the front right tire, he says it's inside the rubber boot or something. he's an old school chevy guy and doesn't really like working on fords.

anyways his question is, does anyone know what could be squeaking? diagrams? photos?

he wants to know this before he gets into it because he is wondering if it will be better to have it sent to a shop so he can continue working on our normal equipment

edit: it's more of a chirping sound than a squeak

If I remember correctly there is a dust seal on the back side of the wheel bearing on those years. It's where the axle shaft goes through the back side of the wheel bearing. Try spraying some white grease or silicone spray or even wd-40 where the axle shaft goes through and see if stops the noise.
