3" on both my yota's (6x5.5)
2" on my ranger (5x4.5)
I dont know the brand but have held up just fine and dont give me any problems. Buddy of mine had 2 sets of 2" inch spacers stacked on a F-250 and never give any problems, even through all the burnouts and doughnuts. So if someone says that wheel spacers are a death trap they dont know what they're talking about.
Any brand should be good, just make sure to get them from a reptuable place.
I been think of getting some spacers for the rear, since i put a Dana 35 in it looks abit odd to be so wide in the front compared to the back.
are the people that say there death traps are stacking them or something?
No the non hubcentric wheel spacers are death traps, as well as the ones not maintained. (IE checking lug torque every once in a blue moon) Or the crappy brands that use cheap aluminum. etc. I rand a set of 1 1/4's on a mustang for a while and had no problems. THey will also wear out the wheel bearings baster due to changing the balance of weight on the hubs. But nothing extreme enough to discourage use. Theres a bunch of wheel spacer threads lately, do a search to get some more ideas.
I just took off my SpiderTrax spacers and sent them back. Very nice product, really gave my truck some "beef", but the ride was a bit harsher and the turning radius was ridiculous--3-point turn to back into my driveway. I did a How-To with pics over on R-F.
