I fishtailed into a curb and bent my OEM rim (Rear RH Tire). I put my spare on and the whole wheel is not straight so I bent something else too. I keep calling it the hub but I'm not sure that is the right terminology for it. I guess it would be what ever you mount your tire onto... corrections please? Thanks.

You bent the axle flange, very common.

Mac,

Thanks for the reply. Hopefully it's as easy a fix as it is a common thing to bed (when crashing) lol!

Axle shafts are easily changed, but if it's bent the brake drum face may also be "tweeked" and the brake shoes and possibly the backing plate are also gonners.

Other than the fact that you need to remove the diff cover (draining the oil) and removing the spider gear cross shaft to access the "c-clip" that retains
the shaft in the housing it's all quite easy...

That doesn't mean that it isn't a dirty nasty job.

Sometimes its also fun getting the shaft out if you managed to bend that or the tube.

Hope you didn't do that.

Be sure not to twist the head off of the threaded pin that holds the spider gear shaft in place. If you do, your life will become much more unplesant.

Don't lose that Jesus bolt either. That can make your life just as miserable as if you'd break it.
