Hey guys,
I have a 99 Ranger that I converted to the AVM hub and they are awesome! But my wheel bearings are going out. So my question is if there is others year besides 98-2000 wheel bearing hubs I could use because I do not need all the PVH stuff anymore. I just wonder if the axles will fit in the housing. I just thought I would ask because the 99 ones are $140 and the rest are about $80. Thanks in advance!

Well you can swap over and get 96+ explorer or 00+ ranger hub assemblies, but you will also need the axle shafts from the vehicle you order the hubs or get the hubs from because they are full time (live) axles and they just have splines and a nut to hold the axle in and then spin all the time. You would not be able to use your AVM hubs if you got anything but a 98-99 ranger hub.

Are you sure the 80 dollar hubs aren't for a 2wd? Because $140 is a pretty good deal for 99 hubs, normally they are around 300+ with the hubs and stuff.

$140 is a good price for the bearing assemblies. The bearing assemblies bolt on to the truck with 3 bolts. Easy replacement. Just plug the vacuum hose ports on the 98-00 assemblies.

Ditto for the above. I would go with the live axles/hubs. It is much easier not to have to get out of the truck to lock the hubs, and live axles are more reliable, with steel to steel contact.

Just realized: the $140 is probably for the non-ABS bearing assemblies. the price for the ABS assemblies is probably closer to $200.
