I have a 03' 4x4 ranger. i have 16" wheels stock. I would like to run 15" wheels. Can i just swap out new wheels? has anyone done this or know?

i did on my 99 with no problems

Just make sure the new ones are 16's and have about the same width to them. As well as being the correct bolt pattern. That is kinda obvious though.

Other than that, they should go right on

yes i have an 03 fx4level II with the 15 inch alcoa rims actually looking to sell them not sure where you are located but but if your interested let me know or anyone else in PA MD area that might be interested in them.

Most 15" wheels will fit. Bolt pattern is 5 on 4.5".

I have an '02 stepside that I put 15"x8" pro comp rock crawlers that have 3.75" of back spacing and 32"x11.50 tires. They have no rubbing issues and I have only cranked my torsion bars.

you might rub on the inside of the wheel on the rotors or something if u run 15". i cant remeber what year or model were made like that but if they came with 16, there was a reason for that. just have a buddy with a ranger or a jeep let u try a 15" on the front to see if it clears.

My o2 xlt came with 16s and i switched them out to 15s with no problems.

I went from stockers to 15x10s and a 33x12.5 tire with the torsion crank on my 00 stepside. No problems here.

I think it was in early to mid 2003 that they went to the larger brakes. I've seen some posts on here before where a 15 inch wheel rubbed the caliper. I'm not sure of the actual serial number break for the switch.
