Yesterday I had to replace a wheel bearing in my truck. It was sqeeking and grinding and making all kinds of sounds. After i repllaced it it ran fine for about 15 miles. Now when i hit the breaks it really sqeeks loud. If it tap the breaks it goes away.:icon_confused:. The breaks were fine when i pulled it apart and had over half the pads left. What could it be? Is it possible that i just tightened down my axle but to hard or do i have to replace the breaks now. The rim feels warmer than the other side but not hot. Or did i just get a bad bearing? Thanks for any help in advance.

You might simple have an anti rattlie clip touching the rotor, just go back through what you took apart and double check everything

Could be you bent the dust shield behind the rotor and it's now rubbing on the rotor.Dumb question, but you did replace the races in the rotor didn't you.Bearings and races are matched sets and don't like being mixed.Could possibly be dirt etc. on the rotor or pads.
