Just replaced the drivers front wheel bearings and races. The outter race was cracked and bearing destroyed. I replaced both bearings and the inner bearing and race I had no issues installing however the outter race is really loose. Is this normal?

What torque spec did you follow for the axle nut or spindle nut?

I never got to the point of torquing things down yet. I'm saying the race slides in and out of the hub freely

Ohhh, well then either your hub is out of spec or the race is out of spec. What hub and race are you using?

The race needs to fit tight in the hub. On a 2wd Ranger if you buy new rotors they are complete with hub and races.

yeah, you need a new rotor...

When the old race cracked, something was seriously wrong with the bearing which expanded the rotor and ruined it...
