Anybody use these before? Got the equivalent of 31x10.5 on stock 15" rims. Wanted to move them out an 1" or 2" for looks and to get a little more stable footing (put a 2" lift on not too long ago).

I've done some searching on the forums. it seems like a 50/50 split on if people like wheel adapters or not.

Just looking to see if anyone knows if these are junk?

Thx for the feedback.

I have those on the rear--1 1/4"--because I have a Ranger 8.8" on a B2. The guy I got them from told me they kept coming loose on him. I put them on with red Locktight and 150ft# and never had them come loose.

I wouldn't use them on the front of a 4x4 on account of how close together the bearings are. But they would probably be okay if you are careful when you set up the bearings. You can't afford any extra play in the bearings. There should be zero torsional load on bearings--and when there isn't they last for hundreds of thousands of miles. But if you offset the load on them, the life is decreased. If you offset the load, and have a sloppy set-up they might fail in hundreds of miles.

A proper set-up means you have squeazed all of the extra grease out. That means the adjuster nut is torqued to 35ft# repeatedly while making revolutions with the rotor backwards and forwards. After the wrench clicks at 35ft# without turning the nut anymore, then you get the inch-pound wrench out, back the nut up 90 degrees to get the tension out of it and then torque it to 15inch-pounds. That's just past finger tight. Then put the washer on without moving it, then the outer nut and beef it to 150ft#. If it's a 2wd you just put the cotter pin in as there is no outer nut.

thx for the info. everything up front should be to spec as i recently did the balljoints and had everything disassembled. followed the assembly/torque specs and it rides great.

assuming everything is torqued properly; aside from the torsional loading u referenced, any other concerns with putting them on the front of a 4x4?

Dont know if it matters, but its got the stock dana 28.

Also how wide is too wide to go with the spacers?
