Im Brian, and just picked up my 86 ranger just over a month ago. it has 68, xxx original, documented miles on it. Hope to fix the little stuff and make it last!!

Ive already added a cold air intake, deleted the muffler, and added a bigger A4LD transmission cooler.

Welcome to the site. You've come to the best place for your ranger did you swap in the A4LD was it already installed?

It was in the truck when I got it. Havent had any issues with it so far.. lol.

No I didn't mean anything by it. It's a good tranny, it's just the original auto tranny for the 4.0. I usally don't see that in a ranger baught from someone unless the were RBV educated.

hmm im not sure then. it's a 2wd if that helps any, floor shifter, with 1,2, D, and OD gear selections.
