What's the deal with Mazda extended cabs??

I agree! if it where just stuck on it would be gone by now, but Mazda has it bolted through the door frame in 10 spots. gonna take a little work to get it off. Maybe Ill just paint it flat black to match

Nope. All Mazda LE's since the beginning have had the chrome trim around the windows

Oh geez, well there you go getting me all confused. I thought you were saying the BLACK was bolted on. AKA plastic.

I actually like the trim around the window. But I dont like the Mazda tail lights, bed sides or front clip.lol I actually looked for a B4000 when I was looking for a new truck, but I was going to swap a Ranger front clip and bed, all just so I could get the fancy trim. I am still thinking about putting it on my Ranger, but I dont want to drill holes and have worry about them rusting later.

nope the black is painted and the chrome is metal trim

They also make them with the trim piece black. Thats what I wanted.

Im planning the same on mine. did you remove it from the trick first or paint it in place?

Painted it while still on the vehicle. Sanded it down with 120 grit until it wasn't shiny anymore, then masked it all off. Painted it with Krylon's special "Fusion for Plastics" gloss black rattle can paint. So far has held up awesome and much better than my other rattle can paints over chrome in the past.
