I tryed putting it in at a stop, no go . Theres got to be something i am missing in my old age. :icon_confused:

not to put it in 4wd on pavement, and possibly shift to park or neutrial(sp?)

or mabe lock in the hubs, it depends on your setup,

Stop the truck, push on the brake, put it in neutral.

Don't use it on pavement like mentioned, causes bindage!

If it is automatic, put it in netural, then wait until the light comes on. If it is a manual transmission, push the clutch in, then wait till the light comes on.

On my manual 99, You have to have the brake and the clutch pushed in in order to get into 4lo. On an auto 99' it must be in neutral with the brake pedal down. I have no idea if yours is the same.

Do not engage on dry pavement unless you like breakage and bind.

so since mine is a manual its stopo push clutch and brake in , not on pavemant and wait for light to come on . I guess to get it out is reverse of what i did to get it in. thx guys!
