What's the biggest towed?

One more trip. 525 miles with the Cougar. Cougar and trailer was 6300#. Gross was 10580#.

I ran it out there at 60 - 65 in 4th. That 2500 - 2700 rpm with 3.27 axles. At that speed it averaged 14.45 mpg. Funny thing is; with the trailer empty on the way back running 65-70 mph the average was almost exactly the same running in 4th and 5th.

Never towed anything, but I have had around 400 pounds of cinderblock in the bed, but only had to drive a couple feet, but it was squatting for sure.

Heres one of me towing my ex girlfriends saturn. Put it in trailer tow and it pulled it very well to my surprise.

Nice looking truck.

When you say "put it in trailer tow"; does your tranny have a switch or something? Automatic I would suspect.

Thanks and it has the automatic 5 speed. I have a superchips programmer that has trailer tow, in my opinion it pulls anything terrible without it. It really makes a difference.

hahahah i towed about 1200lbs of bolts in the back of mine from portland. hauled ass all the way home, hardly even noticed it

I regularly haul a small trailer with 3-12ft JON boats and about 400lbs of gear on the trailer, topper on back, and about 500 lbs in the back, every time I go camping (2hrs away) Does just fine.

The most I've ever hauled was without a trailer. I had 46 - 4x8 sheets of 11/16 plywood :shok: probably about a ton and a half, rear end was slammed. Drove it to the other side of my small town. I'm lucky I didn't snap the axle or springs.

I wouldn't do it again.

Saturday we load up and head out. Towing the wife's '11 Fiesta almost 3200 miles. Seattle to coastal NC. I'll get a pic.

Towed the biggest item yet this afternoon. A 1995 Ford Escort 4dr/loaded, on a car dolly 32 miles. Truck towed great at highway speeds, pulled a 6% grade in a 30mph headwind at 60mph no problem--3rd gear at 4k rpm with power to spare. I was impressed how well it towed for a small truck.

16ft livestock trailer not to bbad should be better after a mottor swap>:)

25ft travel trailer. Not very far about 10 miles.

Most weight in the bed was a 1000hp electric motor and some brass bushings and bearings (3 pieces) from a raptor crusher. 600lbs of brass and almost 750lbs of motor. Boy was that a nice payday. Even split 4 ways it was nice lol

I have pics of my truck pulling our 6500lb skid steer somewhere. Still stopped on a dime. Pulled my 99 super cab home on 24' car hauler too.
