I have an exhaust leak coming from the front passenger side of my Ranger. What's the best way of finding out exactly where it''s coming from?

a length of vinyl tubing held to one ear, use the other end to poke around near suspected areas....a leak will be obvious.

Lightly cap off the tail pipe, The leak will become readily apparent.

start it on a nice cold day and look for steam.

Start the truck and then hold it under water rotate it slowly watching for bubbles coming from the exhaust. No wait thats an inner tube never mind. I shouldn't post on 2 hours sleep. hahaha

I'll add what Mutant Pony said.

Have a friend try to plug the tailpipe with a rag while you listen iunder the truck

Even a small leak becomes real obvious
