whats the best fuel tank

Could I put my 84 tank in next to the stock tank? I don't think it would fit, but maybe if I shorten it?

whats the purpose of the frame mounted fuel pump that on the 90 bronco II when theres one in the tank

those don't last forever and it's nice to have a backup. i've done that with mechanical pumps in carb motors as well.
just a thought.
