I hear a squealing noise when I slightly press on the clutch pedal. There is no noise when the pedal is fully pressed or not pressed at all, but a slight press creates a noise that sounds like it is coming from the bellhousing. It sounds similar to a squeaky belt.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

throw out bearing

Oh, come on! I just replaced EVERYTHING there in September when I upgraded my transmission.

Is it okay to leave it, or will this get worse and cause something catastrophic?

Thanks.

I'd have to agree with T/O bearing. Probably because with light pressure, it is only scraping the surface of the pressure plate and they aren't spinning at the same speed. So the scraping makes a squeal. Did you put a film of grease on the face of the T/O bearing before assembly? Where it contacts the pressure plate.
