What's it worth?

I'm going to be doing an 8.8 swap soon, I've got a 7.5 under the truck now, less than 10k miles on the following: 98 axle, 9" drums, 4.56 gears, Detroit, T/A performance cover. I just pulled the cover to swap out a slightly bent axle and discovered that it has a chipped pinion tooth (it makes no noise but it's not good) gears were set up properly but the axle doesn't like the 4.0 (axle was installed before the engine swap, the engine swap just kind of fell into my lap so i did it) So, as it sits, as a complete assembly (drum to drum) what's it worth? I know i'm going to take a loss I'm just kind of feeling out what I should ask for it...

I'd say probably around 200-300 but then agian I haven't sold an axle, but if I was looking for one even with a few doodads I wouldn't pay over that unless its got a locker in it or something.

pull the detroit out and sell it, then scrap the rest, nothing else on it is worth anything, you will probably get 2-300 for the detroit alone

agreed^^..get what you can for the rest of the axle in scrap or list in in CL.
