have the belltech shackles in the rear with the stock leaf springs, and the stock 2 inch lift block, leaf springs are doing that w thing. wanting to ditch the block, maybe add 1 inch lift. the front is lifted 2 inches, so id mostly like to match that.

i dont really want to swap to chevy 63's, and id prefer to buy a brand new leaf spring setup rather than go used. i have never ever towed anything with this pickup. its just a wheeler. so travel is king.

not sure if i should just pickup a used/new explorer pack? a set of leaf springs for a lifted application?

if it wasnt for the w shape, id probably not replace the ones i have. so i was kinda thinking about nabbing a set of used explorer springs. not sure if 2/4 door matters. seems guys get about 3 inches with those.

So, I put a set of 94 4door xlt explorer spring in my Bronco 2, everything is stock, and I got just shy of 2 inches out of them.

how much over stock ride height are you wanting to be? do you still use it as a truck?

deaver or alcan are about the best you can do for all new.

well constructed traction bar will relieve axle wrap to keep spring life up and minimize w...

i run tib style f150 2wd hd springs these days with offset perch and factory 150 blocks.

good ride and ok weight capacity...traction bars are not on because my engine is a turd and the diff is open at the moment...that varies though. i chained it with the quick lock to get by last summer and it worked.

i too would like to eliminate the block so i can go to a better style air bag setup for load capacity. 900-1300 bux for new leaf springs is hard to choke down though.

so relocating the hangers and living with the 150 springs and bigger air bags seems to be a good idea. they are very cheap to replace new and VERY available. deavers and alcan are not cheap to replace and readily available...

i never thought about a traction bar. ive caught air in this pickup a few times. so that probably wouldnt be a bad idea! 900$ for leaf springs is not something i even want to be interested in. sounds like ill have to try a set of explorer springs out. maybe make a bastard pack

Traction bar made a huge difference on my truck. I highly recommend it.

I am using the Skyjacker FR34S leaves along with the longer shackles, but not using the bottom hole. The springs and the shackles gave me about 4" of lift.

Explorer leaves should allow you to remove the factory block and maintain the same height.
