My 2006 did not have any of the hinge or the striker as it had a service camper on back.
I am going to pull it yard tomorrow and dont want to lug a whole box.
What size bolt heads are the hinge that is attached to the bed? and the striker and the cable that holds the tail gate up?
I know the striker is a torx or should be.

You dont need anything for the cable, you can pop it out. For the strikers and lock mechanism on the bed and the gate just take a set of torx bits,(most of them come in strings of about ten), and a standard ratchet with a small extension. It is enough to fit in a pocket or just carry so you won't need a whole tool box.

Well thats what I know now. I want to limit it to the bare amount, as in I may have to slid in and run to the trucks and run back, I am limited on time off work.
My truck is bare on the inside of the bed where the tail gate goes. Every thing was taken out to slide the camper shell in. And the guy I bought from has no clue where the hardware is now. Company went bankrupt./
The cable attaches to the bed with a clip, that clip goes over a stud of some kind or bolt. I need to know what it takes to get all those off.
Size of bolt and torx should be easy for anyone to walk out to truck and look. Mine was never there so I have no clue. I assume a 13 mm for the bolts and a 45 Torx as all the others on the truck are similar. sized.
