Hello I have a problem some one might have the answer to. I have a 88 extended cab 2 wheel drive that has been wrecked, and a 85 long bed ranger 4 wheel drive. The frame on the extended cab has got some good warp age that stops just before the cab mounts the long bed trucks frame is quite different. I was going to strip the frame and put the a short bed and the extend cab on it. I know that I am going to have to move the axle back 4 or 5”, and relocate a cab mount to make this work and maybe some more unseen things that will present their self when I start. The other is to cut both frames just after the first cab mounts and weld the front 4x4 axel to the rest of the ex cab frame and level the truck and I will have it that way. You might say just to buy another frame, but I have to many parts now 2 bronco ii, short bed truck, long bed truck, and extended cab it’s a long story why I have all these vehicles but anyway what would you do with what you had if you were me hope I get something back
Thanks Brian

i wouldnt peice the frames together that is just askin for trouble, i would make it fit on the other one

The guys that lower their rangers and c notch there frames don't seem to have many problems if any just a thought.
