let me start with the little background story..
we have a guy from rough country on my local forum (midsouthjeeps).. since he worked there i decided to ask some questions about their lift kit for the ttb axles.. he listened, did some digging, and is now stirring the pot at RC.
i simply asked why were the coils so stiff and do they know about the drop plate causing issues like busted diffs. his reply was lets look into it and i know that the drop plate has been redesigned for clearance issues, is it still causing problems. he even came over here to TRS to look at the problem which caused him to have more questions for me since he is not a ttb owner. he looked it up, the RC coil springs have a 445 ppi (10 lbs shy of an f250 superduty
) the stock b2 coil is 350ish. then we started talking about how the drop plate sucks for swapping to a d35 axle like many of us ttb guys do
enough background---
what would yall think if Rough country did redesign their lift to have softer springs and maybe an option to get a real drop bracket instead of a drop plate. i know the beauty of the RC lift is the price... so hopefully it doesn't affect the price to much.
but regardless, we've got a guy stirring the pot at RC to see if anything could be done.
regardless-- rough country has awesome customer service, and its full of really decent nice people.
