I picked up a 1999 Ranger as a project, And after getting the engine machined, parts, ect... I think im in it too deep. So far here is what I got.
1999 single cab Ford ranger 5-speed $250
-96 crank, flat top pistons, and rods (Rods are stronger and pistons give me more compression ie MO POWA) $100
-Manley rings $51
-Machine work (Decking the heck out of the block and head to get more compression) $200
-Bearings $60
-Gasket kits (Fel-pro) $100
-New clutch kit $61
-Head bolt kit $50
-Oil and fluids $50
So tha total of around $950 after its done, Yes it has a clean title and under 115k miles, It will be rebuilt with a new clutch and surfaced flywheel. So its all done right, I just dont want to loose on the truck.
