What would be a good name?

In keeping with the modern naming convention:

For fleet service trucks, Ranger Transit
For your regular trucks, Ranger Platinum, Titanium etc for increasing the trim level.

Offroad/ Racing: Ranger VelociRaptor

AJ

Or the Texas Ranger

Roundhouse kick included!

Bushmaster would be my suggestion...fits in with their snake themed car names and sounds kinda forest-y.

No, this one doesn't work, because the Transit is a model in it's own right, not a package on another model. There is the Transit Connect, and then the Transit 150-350 and such.

Maybe this is why manufacturers use letters and numbers that have no real meaning.

FX4
FX4 Level II
Z71
ZR2

TRD... which is 3/4 of a word. :icon_rofl:

Can't use Texas Ranger, Chuck Norris already "signed" up for the Tacomas

Well it is too bad Pontiac had the Phoenix - because the Ranger is a mythological creature that has risen from the ashes of its predecessor.

Maserati has boomerang - playing on both the return and the Australian heritage of the current Ranger. Outback being used as well.

Loan Ranger - as that's what we all will need to buy one.

My final answer: Mountain Ranger.

I always thought that the FX4 stood for Ford by Four.

It doesn't?
I still say Scorpion. As a prefix
The Scorpion Ranger. 4 wheel disc brakes. Blue calipers black wheels blue ovals on the center caps. Black mesh grill with custom Ranger logo with a scorpion tail coming from the "R" and arching over the "anger". And one on the tailgate, no side badges just for originality. All or 4wd (I guess), but Street tuned suspension available. Oooh and a turbo 4 cylinder and a 10 spd automatic transmission.
