What was your 1st car?

1961 MGA 1600 Roadster (convertible). (that was in May '75)

Glad to get out of a British Leyland car and into my 2nd car, a '66 Mustang GT/hypo 289 (July '75:))

Got a good one from my uncle, he borrowed his sister's 60 something VW bug he bought in pieces and built for her, he took it down from WV to NC for a beach trip got stuck on his way back about 50 miles from where he was, the little sucker died, traded it for a ride all the way back to WV, had holes in the floor and bullet holes in the front fender and about 30 shades of colors on it

1986 Plymouth Gran Fury with a 318. Ugly ass gold color too. Thing would do some mad doughnuts though....in the rain

First car to run up and down the dirt road.. 1973 Vega GT 4 banger 4 speed
First street car... 1973 Gran Torino 351 Cleveland
First financed car... 1981 Mercury Lynx RS 1.9 4 speed
First new car... 1986 Mustang GT w/ T-Tops 5.0 5 speed
First truck... 1985 F-150 4x4 Straight Six

Not a single S-10. Disappointing.

My first was a hand-me-down 85 S-10 2.8 V6 5-speed 4X4. It was 5 different colors (with the bondo, rust, some clear putty crap, primer, and the gay baby blue. Every time I shifted, it backfired. And bad! Me and a buddy bout got jumped one night by 5 guys in a car cause it backfired and they thought we shot at them. I loved that truck though. Had the sweet white wagon wheels with so much backspacing they stuck out about half the tire width past the fenders. Had the roll bar, push bar and who can forget the old air gate thing. Instead of the t-gate, it had a net. It died (for the second time) when I left a stoplight, tried to get in front of a school bus and snapped the crank between 1 and 2.

Second car was a POS 82 Merc Capri 5.0 4-speed. Rust all over. Some sheet metal for floorboards. Car ran like a striped assed ape, when it ran. Had so many electrical gremlins in it, couldn't keep it running. But the dual 12" glasspacks with no cats sounds awesome. Loud as hell!
