What was your 1st car?

1950 Cheverolet 3100.It had been sitting under a tree for a few years at a small country store. My dad asked me if I would like to have it-ofcourse at 15,I said yeah.....we pulled it home (farm) with a chain/pipe.Put some fresh gas in it along with plugs, points. Then took the 6 volt battery from the electric fence charger.Pulled it w/tractor in 2nd. gear and it fired right up.I drove it all around the country roads as well as used it for chores on the farm after that.
Moved back to Norfolk about 3 years later.Took engine out and put in machine shop to be rebuilt, only to be told the block was cracked. This pissed me off,as I had driven this truck for a couple of years around the farm with zero problems-and this guy tells me I have a cracked block(?).
Ended up selling the truck to a guy who said he was going to put the body on a 4wd. Wagoneer frame/driveline.Saw it a few years later-it was bright yellow and looked really sharp.Aside from a dirt bike, this was my first car/truck,BUT-I never got it tagged.Did'nt need to previously at the farm-only used a piece of cardboard with "farm use" written on it on the tailgate w/a couple of bales of hay/straw or some tools....you could get away w/that back then-only saw cops twice in 5 years-lived way out in the country.....
So technically (as far as a tagged vehicle),you could say that a 1971 Chevy Luv was my first vehicle (just outta high school).

My first was a 91 Aerostar 3.0. It was a darker blue and had some lighter blue stripes going down the side. I absolutely LOVED that van. OD went in the tranny and I drove it just about 3 years like that before it died completely. After that I went through 3 transmissions because whoever installed them couldn't get it right or the remans sucked ass. I had lots of great memories in that truck and I teared up a little when it got picked up to get junked. I'll see if I can dig up a pic.

my first vehicle was an 89 Ford Ranger, still going strong at 280k now (sold though). My second vehicle which I drove the longest, was a 1994 Mercury Sable which I hit a tree, rolled, and took out a section of guardrail. The following car was a 1990 Buick Lesabre, after about a couple thousand neutral drops, and a few jumps, is now resting in peace. I've had about 10 vehicles, since.

my first car was a 88 or 89? chevy cavalier. i paid 600 bux for it and it had 193k on it. i drove that car everywhere and even some places i shouldn't have. it ended up getting real hot on a trip back from wyoming and when i shut it off, a large cloud of smoke came out from under the hood. it sat for the next 6 months and my mom wanted me to do something with it. eventually me and a buddy trailered it out to his farm, which had big dirt mounds, sink holes ect and we ended up riggn it up to run and JUMPN' it until it was no more. :headbang: i 100% drove that car like i stole it.

poop brown 77 chevy monte carlo technicaly it was my first boat too!

My first car was a 1990 Ford Aerostar, my mother bought it new, it was solid black, I've never seen another one like it. I promptly removed the pink graphics before I got my license at 16. Drove it for about 11 months before overdrive finally gave up the ghost. It did a pretty good burnout on wet concrete, lol. Gotta love the 3.73 l/s 7.5".

It met its demise in September '07, painted it up steelers colors and donated it to be beat in with sledgehammers by Cleveland Browns fans on the Radio. 98.5 for those of you in Cleveland.

1998 Ford Escort LX
bought the car from my neighbors, the housekeeper took the children to school in it once a week. My dad bought the car for $2000 and it had 15k on it. One day after noticing that the "X" from the "LX" could be moved over to where the "S" is in "Escort after moving the "S" to the front it became the "SEXCORT." After 2 years of me/friends literally beating the shit out of it, I finally started making money and bought my ranger. From owning the escort and now the ranger I will NEVER buy another vehicle make other than a FORD!

First truck was a 90 ranger 4.0 4x4 ext. cab. It had alot of air time. Had to let her go after putting 1000 in to the motor, just have to the person who did it screw it up and i blew the motor in less then 3000 miles. Just after the motor went but was still driving alittle the frame snaped. So i finished her at the local mud races and for being hurting i took first place.

first one i learned to drive was an 90 s-10 that my grandma let my cusins, brother, and i have to race and do doughnuts around in the feild behind here house only being 2wd with a 2.8 and automatic was still fun got stuck alot in the mud since the tires were bald.
my first i bought for $700 was an 89 camaro with the 2.8 and auto was a fun car bought it when i turned 15 washed it everyday until i was 16 got my license drove 115 to school that day plenty of burnouts and then on the 5th day of having my license i was going 100 and a friend said somethign about it being a v6 so i floored it and it downshifted causeing the motor to blow with being well over 7 grand swaped in a nother 2.8 and sold the car for $800 worked all summer driving my dads 2005 caviler (he has a harley so didnt drive the car in the summer) and made enough to buy my 94 b3000 4x4 with 5speed with both manual tcase and hubs shes rusting out need new rear cab mounts and the bed is starting to go damn the northern midwest with all the salt

my one and only

1995 2.3L reg cab short box 2wd 5 spd ford RANGER :headbang::headbang::headbang::headbang::headbang::headbang::headbang::headbang::headbang::headbang::headbang::headbang::headbang:

1. 1988 Dodge Shadow ES Turbo with the 2.2L 4cyl Turbo and a auto trans. i bought from my grandfather (He got it off my older brother after he wrecked it). Grandfather fix the body before selling it to me for $300. When it was my brothers we locked the wast gat on the turbo shut to it pin the boost gage past 15psi. Cracked the head doing that but did that thing ever scoot. When i got it the wast gate stayed SHUT still but i kept an eye on the gauge so as to not blow it up. I also did a cat back exhaust on it and a K&N filter. Car would leave my buddies 1988 Chevy Comaro with the 305 sitting. Trans failed after a year of my abuse and i sold it off to a guy who wanted the engine.

2. 1999 Ford Ranger XLT reg cab 2wd Flare side 3.0L V6 auto. Awsome truck and began my love affair with rangers. Sadly when i stoped working for my father's company i no longer could afford to insure it so i sold it to buy an older truck.

3. 1977 Dodge Tradsman 200 with the 318 V8 and 727 auto. got this from my grandfather when he went blind. Since he could not drive he gave it to me and my brother to share. Had this at the same time as the ranger but i could not afford to properly restore it and i had no room in a garage to store it so i sold it to a great uncle who could.

4. 1994 F250 XLT Ex cab 2wd long bed with the 7.3IDI Turbo Diesel V8 and E4OD auto. Got after the ranger as it was cheaper to insure and almost as good on fuel. I slowly fixed it up to like new and Modded the hell outa that old 7.3 along the way. Well that motor worked great but it beat the HELL out of the trans (SHATTERED the stock converter). After getting a upgraded lower stall converter for FREE from a school bus (i fixed em for a living) and having the internals of the trans rebuilt and upgraded i never had another issue. When i bought this house just before moving the injection pump started to fail so i traded it off as i could not afford to put money into it i had a house to pay for.

5. 1986 VW Golf Diesel. 1.6L 4 cyl NON turbo Diesel a 5 speed. Bought this the same time i had the F250 as a winter beater/Economy car. Got it for $1500 and dove the piss out of it. Entered it in a diesel only road rally, jumped it, crashed it into snowbanks for laughs. LOADED it up and took extended higway trips with the cruise control on (jam the gas pedal too the floor you could not speed). I then lent it to my brother for a year and he managed to kill it. Still i kept it around (hopeing to fix it) up till two years ago before letting it go.

6. 2000 Yamaha V-Star 650cc V-twin. Since the F250 was all done i wanted something else to play with and since mom and big bro had bikes i figured what the heck i will get one of my own. But after 2 years on the cruiser i found it HURT riding around sitting on your tail bone. BUT my mother loved my bike so i gave it to her as a gift.

7. 1996 Ford Ranger XL 4x4 3.0LV6 auto. Got this as a trade for my F250 with the bad injection pump. I was in a pinch and this little Ranger is what got me threw it. Loved this little truck and used it for everything from offroading to hauling to getting to work everyday in the winter.

HPIM0691.jpg

8. 2004 VW Jetta GLS TDI with the 1.9LPD Turbo Diesel 4cyl and 5 speed. Got this to replace the old VW as i was starting to feel the fuel pinch. The ranger was BAD on fuel and this little bugger solved any fuel concerns i had. Took it on a cross Canada Trip and loved going 1000+ kms without fueling up. But sadly i just could not love this car it simply was JUST a car and NO other vehical in my past was like that so off it went a few months ago.

9. 2007 Suzuki V-Strom 650cc V-Twin. since i gave my mother the Yamaha i needed a bike. so i sold my 1996 Ranger and used it as down payment on my first EVER new vehical. This thing has been GREAT and its my summer daily driver, off roader, summer touring rig, drag racer and And anythign else i can think of for it. Its my current bike and will most likely be for some time.

IMG_0174.jpg

10. 2008 Ford Ranger Sport 2wd with the 3.0L V6 auto. Since i could not love the VW and i REALLY regretted selling my rangers and since i ride my bike most the time anyways i decided to trade the VW in on a NEW ranger and thats were i am at now.

My first car was a 1990 Ranger 2.3, 5-speed, no power steering, no a/c, AM only radio... Factory cruise (I know, what?) Ran off the bridge going over the creek to my house, then sold it because it was wrecked...

Second was a 92 Ranger, 2.9 auto, bought for $700, sold it for $1500 after I bought my Camaro...
