What was the last year bench seat was used?

In searching, the threads I've come across have basically delt w/ swapping to newer seats not vise-versa.

I'm trying to find one in decent shape & figured if I could find the latest model, I may get lucky with the condition. Any help is appreciated.

I'm also assuming that the early years will bolt into my '97, is this correct?

So you want to swap to a bench? like a full bench? or a 60/40 bench? Either way if you have regular cab like your sig says, anything from a regular cab will bolt in.

yup...is the 60/40 bench lowback? I think I just want a plain old solid back & bottom. I can't find any pics of a 60/40 bench. I see alot of them on car-part.com available.

my highbacks are disgusting, even if I reupholstered them, I'd hate to see what has seeped through the fabric. The lowback bench will go better w/ my plans.

The seats in that truck are of the 60/40 kind, for low back you'll have to find a first or second gen truck (1983-1992) regular cab with the bench, and even then you'll more then likely have to have it rebuilt/ recovered.

yea, in that link is what I have now.

I sent one to the scrapper last year that had a decent one in it, had I known that I was getting this one then it would've been a different story.

I'm not concerned w/ the upholstery, but the foam & frame & everything else has to be good. One of the local junkyards has a couple I'm looking at tomorrow.
