black sabbath- paranoid :D love the old metal

That's Layne Staley who bought it.

What?

Cantrell is doing the majority of the singing, and most of the song writing (like before).

I'm not really looking forward to the album, though. I have all of their CDs and I don't see this one being too good. It's really not the same without Layne and William DuVall is a terrible replacement as he doesn't recall Layne's style that well. I wish the old band members would have gone on with a new name for the band. It's not AiC like it was before. I'm sure the music will be better than all the other crap that plays on the radio today.

That's just my thoughts...

But anyway, the last album I listened to was Something Like Human by Fuel, there are some pretty good songs on it.

Oh, and Allan, Days of the New is pretty awesome, did you hear that they is coming out with a new album? I don't expect it to be as good as their first (they had such awesome musicians originally that went on to Tantric), but I am still hoping for some good stuff.

What what? By "bought it" I meant "died".
I agree with you about the new album. I haven't heard anything off it yet, but my expectations are low.

Layne Staley Died of a drug overdose in his condo.

His body went undiscovered for three weeks plus.
The Sofa he died on is something I hope never turns
up on ebay:)

His eerie harmonies with Jerry Cantrell will be missed, but I've been
hearing tracks off the album on Sirius "Octane" for over a month.

Frankly it's definatly worth $10.

Like Cantrell was qoted as saying about how long it took for "Alice"
to make a new album "Layne would have said "What took you a**holes so f'ing long?""

as for Days Of The New to me they sound a lot like Alice In Chains unplugged... I can't really catagorize them as "Post Grunge" because there's
no real progression of style in their music, it's more "Grunge Revival"
or "Grunge delayed by a decade", Either way I kinda like it...

two weeks ago if you had mentioned them I woulda said "Who?"
I found a broadcast promo of their first album in a thrift store
that's only a couple of blocks from the local "big" rock radio station
and it seems the station was "Cleaning house", or one of their DJ's was...

Now I have that first album I want the other two, if there's a fourth,
so much better... a fourth album can join the second & third on my
Amazon and Half.com wishlists.

BTW, Last Album: "Sugar" - Tonic
