What Tranny do I HAVE???

So, I am looking at rebuilding my tranny due to all the bearing noise that it is making in 4th and neutral. However trying to find a rebuild kit for a 03' 4x4 4.0L is NOT easy, I have the M50D-R1HD Tranny. However go to a tranny parts website and type that in...nothing. So I did the old make, model, year search and it yielded the M5R1 Tranny as the result. SEE FOLLOWING: http://www.manualtransmissionpart.com/M5R1.html

So my question is is this correct??? I cannot find any parts for the M50D-R1HD. Also, how hard are these tranny's to rebuild??? Any special tools needed other than a gear puller?

You have an M5OD-R1 Transmission. Everything that you are going to find it will show the R1 not the HD. These transmissions are easy to rebuild just use the "SEARCH" tab up top and you will find everything that you will need.

Yep. Nothing special about the HD besides the extra bolt hole in the bell. All the internals are the same as any other 4.0 trans.
