I'm looking at a 96 B4000 4.0/V6 4x4 LE with 103,000 miles.

What should I pay attention to when looking, aside from gallons of oil underneath... :)

Thanks!
Jason

Transmission clunk or missing. Rotted leaf spring shackles. Leaking brake pistons. Air Conditioning functioning.

and if i may add cab mounts and crossmember behind gas tank will be rusted if cab mounts are. just give frame agood look over as wel as axel joints

rad support... i've replaced mine, my brother replaced them on 2 of his rangers.. right where the body mounts are will rot off. and the frame where the rear bumper attaches

The Fuel Filler Neck was My Biggest Issue(expensive part and labor)....Tranny Noise Or Clunking..... Regular Service's with proof is a good Idea too,Pretty much anything listed above,Most Of All Common Sense,If something doesn't look right to you it most likely isn't.......

grab a corner and rock the shit out of it. if it doesnt make any weird clunks or noises then mounts and stuff should all be good.
