its spray painted black with white racing strips right now just so the welds didnt rust.

it is a metal hood, we cut it up peeled it forward and added the sides.

what im looking to do, bondo? or something to make it look legit, there are a bunch of small dents (hood was mangled). i might also want to put a mustang GT hood scoop on it right near the windshield (ANYONE GOT OTHER IDEAS OF SCOOPS OR SOMETHING I COULD DO WITH IT, THROW THEM OUT!)

i have never done body work before, but have a few friends that might be able to guide alittle...

soo i guess my main questions are
1) bondo vs fiberglass? if thats a legit question for this situation?
2) ideas other than a scoop on the top
3) can i do some work on it each day and then drive it, cause my pops makes me have the hood on it to drive...or does bondo need to be painted or something (would water affect it after its hardened)

why put a scoop on top of the cowl you made?

bondo is the way to go, youre going to need a lot from the looks of it too. first you need to finish the welds and grind them smooth, and remove the rest of the paint in the process. once thats done, i would bondo the whole thing, and block sand it till its nice and smooth. don't put too much bondo on, it will be able to crack and then it just looks like crap.

i dont know about getting bondo wet after its hardened, i always keep my stuff inside until its a finished product. it would be easier to find a new hood while you work on this one.

To bad it don't fit on my truck because i like it man !!!!!!!!! The hood needs to be worked to blend everything in to make it look like it belongs there and that what bondo is for ... Try picking up a book and reading a little about auto body because its not to hard as long as you take time and prep is everything...
