i found a set of 17x8 bullitt mustang gt wheels of an 06. i have a 97 ranger 2wd so i was wondering what spacers i would need so that i can put the center caps on the front. i want to use spacers on all four corners so that all the wheels are equally spaced out too. thanks!

Unfortunately there's a ton of different rims out there and each is different so we don't know exactly which spacers to use. You'll need to do some measuring, but the Tire Wheel Guide in the Tech Library should be able to clarify everything. The article should help you get the measurements you need, then we might be able to help you out.

If someone else knows exactly which spacer, I'm sure they'll chime in.

i dont have the rims so i cant measure them...

Hmmm, that makes it a little more difficult. You may need to check out a tire/rim website like thetirerack. If you put in the year make and model of the car you can probably find out the stock backspacking on the rims.

Otherwise...how will you know you even need the spacers?

well im guessing i'll need spacers cuz i know somebody that put mustang rims on his early 2000s ranger and he couldnt put the centercaps on the front

Read that article I sent you. If you look at the bottom plenty of people have done mustang rims and they mention what spacers they use.

i know its an old post but, for reference, i bought the same wheels from a 05 stang gt. the dust cap is the LEAST of your worries... when the wheels are at full turn they HIT the stabilizer bar and tie rod and the shock on the other side!!!!wich is really bad if you loose traction at high speed.... from what i measured at full turn my stock 14 inches are about 2 inches away from tie rod and stabilizer bar...i'll order inch and a half spacers and see what it does....

I fit '99 Cobra wheels (17x8) with 245/45ZR17s on my truck with 1.25" wheel adapters... No rubbing.
