Hello..
I have a 94 Explorer with a 3" body lift...
I just purchased a 4" susp lift off a friend...
I will also be adding 1" coil spacers and 2" blocks(in addition to SOA) so it will be 5-5.5" of lift...
What size or length shocks do you recommend...or is there any way i can measure out the proper shock needed...
I will be posting pictures up as soon as i get it finished!! :)
Thanks for the help..
Nick:headbang:

Just to clarify, how I'm reading this is:

"4" susp lift, 2" blocks(in addition to SOA) so it will be 5-5.5" of lift..."

by my calculations thats up around 10" of lift. 4" of spring, another 4-5ish from the spring over conversion, and 2" blocks.

its got the stock suspension on it right now...
I am doing SOA in the rear so theres 4"....i will put in a 2" block to put it at 6"..thats all I am doing for the rear...
The front will be the 4" lift brackets and coils plus a 1" coil spacer...

The SOA will get you close to six inches by itself.

Ok, so the 4" lift springs are solely for the front.

The 8.8 has some decent size tubes on it, I think Sunk is correct not that I think about it more, you're going to get alot more than 4" with an SOA. You'd get about 4" just with an axle flip without the addition of the leaf pack height.

ok...so what size/length shocks am i in need of..if i do the 4" up front and the SOA in the rear...

5" ones up front and 6" ones in back:icon_rofl: (jk)

Most aftermarket retailers have a catalog for vehicles with various lifts. With that much lift I doubt you'll find anything stock from another vehicle to fit.
