What should I do!?

Its a 95...not like it is a collector item. Buy an 2000+ something and wheel the 95.

Thank you very much!

So now...as for an entry level lift kit...what should I look for or where?

Jusat my .02, I found a running working 4.0 4x4 (1993) for less than 1000. I would buy a second ranger and beat the shyt out of it. I can understand your delima with not wanting to scratch what you got. Its a mint 94 with good miles, you can still make alot of money on it if you sell it. I would really consider a second ranger for whipping boy purposes.

i have been through that discussion many times, seeing as my older brother is an avid toyota fan and i am an avid ranger fan. Each has their certain advantages and disadvantages.

-the toyotas are strong with a straight axle becuase there are no ball joints or a-arms or anything like that...just an axle. but beware because i know that many will have a fabricated straight axle.

-the 22r motor is carburated, which i am not a big fan of and the 22re is fuel injected. these motors are not reliable at all. alot of toyotas have tons of miles because they have had tons of motors.

- the frames are incredibly weak and you will be lucky to find one without any frame issues such as bad corrosion or bending
