i just did the torson crank(35 7/8" from ground to bottom of wheel well/flare) and rear shackles are on the way but now i need longer shocks so the stock ones don't limit my travel too much....or do i?by going up 1"-2" in the front and the back am i going to have problems with shock travel? and if so which ones do i get(in regards to length and brand) and where?
thanks

i'm actually looking into that myself, they are hard to come by with the IFS front end, I think 4wheelparts has either the superide shocks or the extra length explorer pro comps, both are made for about 2-3in of lift and other than that everything else is for 0" only.

I'm dealing with the same situation. There isn't a lnoger shock available (or so I'm told) but the best solution sounds like putting a spacer in at the top of your shock to restore some down travel.

I'll try and dig up my threads for you

nice....try to keeep me posted if you find anything as for now i'll try the spacer thing up front but what about the back are they more forgiving for the increase in lift?

i really havent felt any problems back there, I'm still running stocks all the way around. I can definitely feel the limited travel in the shock up front. I might go with some extendeds in the back and normal length in the front with the spacer job.

you put the spacers on the underside of the mount of where the shock mounts correct(any pics of this)?

I'll get some pics mine if I ever get around to doing it.....

:)

You shouldnt need extended shocks for the rear...

I've been looking into getting new shock as well, so from what I understand if you plan doing a torsion bar crank you should get longer shocks? I found some shocks that are 2.5" longer for the front that procomp makes here http://www.4wheelparts.com/Lift-Kit...-Series.aspx?t_c=1&t_s=90&t_pt=3306&t_pl=1820

But lets say you do a 2" torsion bar crank would that extra .5" over extend your cv angles too much? or is that not enough to matter?
