Just wondering what to use to change the oil in the rear end since i'll be putting in a locker. I've never done this so I don't know if its just 80W90 gear oil. Also how much does it take? oh and is there a better gasket to use for the diff cover or just a factory one?

Your book should tell you which oil to use in a 2005 diff.. I betcha it synthetic.. I would catch all the oil that comes out and look at it if it still looks good I might reuse it...specially if I wasn't putting many miles on my ride.
You should always fill till it comes out the fill (overflow) hole.
You want to be careful on wet streets with a locker...One of my daughters put her 99 Ranger in the ditch cause of a locker..I had to take it out so she would feel better bout her ride.

I would imagine the manufacturer of the locker would have the type of lube listed in the kits instructions. It may or may not be the same as was used in you factory differential.

newer ford lsd's require 75w140 synth fluid at about $21.00 / qt and a bottle of Limited Slip Friction Modifier. puts the reatil parts bill at like $85.00 with rtv to reseal a cover
