What other parts do I need to Upgrade?

And another thing

I don't follow any trails when I'm with 4x4. I lead!

Cause if we ever encounter anything that makes my truck"struggle". They know to lock in they're front diffs

And if I do "ever" get stuck they can easely pull me out from behind

O so you're that guy lol, the price depends on the shop. I've been told $250 to $400. And I'm cheap so I just researched till I could recite the steps before I just dove in.

2WD huh? Stop while youre ahead. Either make it a 4x4 or just drive it as is.

No need to be a Debbie downer

My truck does things that makes 4x4s have wet Dreams

Im all for 2wd trucks, but I seriously doubt that. Even a locked 2wd will get out performed by any decent 4wd unless the driver is a complete dumbass. Being on some dirt road doesnt count either.

If you havent done gears before my advice to you is dont attempt it. I think other people here will say the same thing as well. Installing a lock-right is a far cry from installing new gears.

this makes no sense ...... if you don't take it apart and put it back together ..... how do you learn.

Very true. But if you screw it up, you wont have a daily driver for awhile. I guess the better thing to say would be to have someone who has done it help you. Personally, i had no desire to do my gears myself. I dont see myself doing a lot of gear swaps in the future so I did not want to risk messing up my daily driver.

My truck may have wet dreams about your truck tailgate. However I keep having an image in my head of you driving a truck on the trail as your buddies have to drag you every step of the way.

You can do the gears just be careful is all I'm saying. Like the posts before me say if you screw up you'll be doing an 8.8 swap sooner than you thought.

now that statement I agree with.

8.8s are cheap. buy another one to experiment with.

Lol @ errorists. I agree that installing your own gears is not something you should be learning on a vehicle you depend on. It is a very precise and time consuming procedure that should be perfected. Not to say you shouldn't learn how, just not on your DD.
