Got a bronco 2 with a supposed ranch lift kit, but im starting to think its not rancho....what is this crossmember thing in the picture? it goes right under the oil pan. and the extended radius arms allow the shock to go through the radius arm.

ILL TRY TO TAKE A BETTER PICTURE OF IT LATER....THANKS TO WHOEVER CAN HELP.

The arms give it away as a rancho lift. As far as I know they are the only radius arm that was ever manufactured with that design. The tube crossmember is in place of the original radius arm crossmember, but I've never installed or ran that particular kit so someone with a little more insight can let you know as to what's all there and what might be missing.

Awesome...thanks! So what is the crossmember bar? what does that do? and why is it attached to my rear drop bracket....?

To keep the bracket from folding backwards or bending.

interesting....but i guess effective...might be good for all that rock crawling yah do with a 4 inch lift....lol...thanks guys!

lol, that kit crumbled after a mere 2 years under my Ranger.

But yes, it's definitely Rancho. IIRC, the stock swaybar (used only on '83-'88 Rangers) mounts up to that crossmember.

lol

Yeah swaybar goes there. That BII most likely has it's swaybar in front of the axle however, so nothing's attached to the crossmember.

I know on the f150 kits rancho makes/made they had a crossmember kinda like that, that tied in to the short beam piviot to keep it from folding. Dont know why they didnt do it for the ranger too.

yep deffinantly a rancho kit, same one i picked up from the jy a few weeks ago and am modifying it

huh....well when i get it running ill have to take a look into that...might not be a good thing...all though i have bumpers on the front we shall see...good heads up man..thanks!

After I read up on how Junkie broke his lift I braced mine and never broke a thing in the 9 months it was on my b2. I beat that thing with no mercy and the lift never failed.
